STEYR RIVER LODGE
Our approx. 250 year old, lovingly restored country house, the STEYR RIVER LODGE, is in a secluded and remote location in the Stodertal. You can reach your temporary home via your own driveway, which can be used all year round. This is in a dream location right on the Steyr mountain river at the foot of the 2136m high Kleiner Priel - surrounded by 40,000 square meters of its own forest and meadows. The carefully but comprehensively renovated house with selected antique farmhouse furniture and many original details ensures stylish cosiness.
Our philosophy is to create an oasis of peace and relaxation for you in a breathtaking place, right in the middle of nature. Here you can free your mind from everyday life, collect creative energy and relax optimally - even at night, in total silence, except for the subtle rush of the river.
In summer you can use the “Flötzersteig” hiking trail that leads past the house or you can walk to the Hinterstoder high ropes course in 10 minutes. In winter you can use the Höss ski area, which you can reach 5 kilometers away by your own car or by ski bus. Cross-country skiing trails and a toboggan run await you in just a few minutes.
Take advantage of the lovely riverside garden with BBQ area and 16-inch smoker. Garden furniture is available. Hidden on the Steyr you will find a “sundowner” platform belonging to the house, also for intensive nature observation: trout, otters, kingfishers, herons - the wildlife on the wild and romantic Steyr is diverse and intact.
Further highlights: In the fully equipped kitchen you will find, among other things, an Italian portafilter coffee machine and a 90 cm Smeg gas stove for culinary experiences. You can park your car in the barn or store skis and mountain bikes.
We pay attention to sustainability: Our own well provides you with wonderful spring water, the heating consists of 3 wood and pellet stoves, the firewood comes from our own forest.
You can bring a pet.
If you want to make music, you will find a high-quality Yamaha electric piano in the house.
